Smiling SnorkelersSummer Camp 2020

MarineLab is hosting summer camps for local kids grades 4 - 8 (entering 4th in the fall). We're so excited to present this opportunity to our local families!

We have not scheduled our next camp yet, but we are considering sometime just before school starts in August. We are not taking reservations yet, but if you would like to put your child on the list, please email

The program combines some fun in the sun and water with marine science education programs. Each day, campers will be taken on a snorkel excursion, guided by local marine biologists, in addition to participating in engaging marine ecology discussions and hands-on labs with live sea critters.

MarineLab’s instructional staff are experienced in guiding all levels of snorkeling ability, so no snorkel experience required!

FEE: $250 per camper for the week; additional siblings $225 each.Single day enrollment is unavailable.

Fee includes snorkeling every day including a boat trip in the morning or afternoon, marine science labs, exciting discoveries, LUNCH and a SNACK, their own snorkel gear for the week, and lots of fun! All boat trips are subject to weather considerations, of course!

TIMES: Monday - Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM. Early drop off and late pick up may be arranged for an additional fee; inquire via email if you are interested in this add-on. Take a peek at our itinerary!

Campers will be in groups of no more than 7 plus their very own marine science instructor for the whole week. Groups may be separated by age. Our campus is spacious and airy, and most presentations take place outdoors. Our five boats normally accommodate 10 passengers plus 2 crew; we are limiting the number of passengers to allow us to spread out. The maximum number of campers on site is 28.

We are following all local, state, and federal guidelines regarding COVID-19 and while it is anticipated that we will be able to operate with this very limited enrollment, circumstances may not allow us to hold our camps. Therefore, we are accepting enrollment in these camps, but we will not require payment until the first day. If you have any questions, please email or call 305-451-1139 X 201 after Monday, May 18. Please be assured that we are taking all precautions to keep our staff and campers safe!
