We are seeking temporary Marine Science Instructors for our education center in Key Largo, FL. At our waterfront facility, Marine Science Instructors lead student groups, 5th grade through high school, in discovery adventures via a blend of ecology discussions, hands on investigations, and snorkeling field observations.
Duties:
Leading snorkeling field trips in both inshore and offshore habitats
Supervising students in the water; serving as a mate on our Coast Guard inspected vessels
Teaching various marine science labs and lessons
Assisting with maintenance of boats, labs and equipment
Duration: The temporary positions will run from September 3rd to August 4th, 2026.
Benefits: stipend of $500/week, paid training, shared onsite housing, some meals, WiFi access, and experience at the helm of our vessels. There is a high potential for future employment with our organization.
Requirements:
BA/BS degree
Enjoy interacting with children and youth
Experience with in-water supervision, teaching, and boating
Enthusiastic, outgoing personality
