Family EcoAdventures

We know many students were disappointed that they couldn't attend MarineLab with their classmates this past spring, and many parents have asked if they could do a MarineLab program with their children.  Here is your chance!  This two day program includes two snorkeling field trips by boat with our marine science instructors, a lab exploration, overnight accommodations in our dorms, and three meals.   Explore the seagrass, mangrove, and coral reef habitats that make up the unique marine ecosystem of Key Largo.

Watch our video to learn more about our MarineLab program! Please note: the video was filmed prior to COVID-19. We take the health and safety of our staff and customers very seriously! Learn more about our COVID-19 policies here or scroll down.

Participants must be at least 8 years old and include a parent or legal guardian. We require a minimum of four people and maximum of 8 people per family group.

For more information call 305-451-1139 X 201, or email info@marinelab.org.  We have regular sessions scheduled our listing on events.com, or you can schedule your own!

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is an educational program. We want all family members to participate, including the parents and guardians. We do not allow alcohol consumption or cigarette smoking on our property. If you are looking for a resort-type setting where the kids will be occupied while you relax, this is not the program for you!

COVID-19 INFORMATION:

Please cancel your reservation (without penalty) if anyone in your household has knowingly had contact with anyone with COVID-19, had a fever in the 48 hours prior to the trip, have traveled to any virus hotspots, or is experiencing any cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat.

In strict compliance with all federal, state, and local guidelines, we are restricting enrollment to no more than 3 families per event (maximum of 24 people total), which is less than 25% of our capacity. This allows for extreme spacing between teaching groups, plus each family will have its own dorm room, its own boat and captain, and its own instructor for the whole time. There will be at least 24 hours between events to allow full cleaning and disinfecting of the facility. We also required that MASKS BE WORN during all labs, classrooms, and outdoors unless you can ensure 6' of distance between your family and other people. This includes on the boat - help us protect our staff!

Please be aware that we may be required to cancel the program due to restrictions. Therefore, program fees will be fully refundable except in the case of a no-show, in which case we will keep the deposit. We anticipate that demand will be high for this program.
