Program Options
We have an array of labs, field trips, and discussions to choose from. You can choose one of our standard itineraries or customize to make your own. If customizing, we recommend starting with our core curriculum and adding on from there with extended program options.
Our core curriculum focuses on seagrass, mangrove, and coral reef ecology and incorporates two hands-on labs. Each snorkel trip is preceded by a discussion (either in the classroom or on the boat) about the habitat and what animal life the students can be on the lookout for during their snorkel. The students will snorkel each habitat to observe firsthand what they learned during the discussion. When safe and permitted, instructors will collect live specimens from the water for the students to observe back on the boat. Advanced versions of all core programs are available.
We have many extended program options that incorporate marine research techniques and citizen science opportunities
Check out our land based field options- these programs are great options if you are looking to reduce program costs, give your group more flexibility to include additional labs/classes/free time, or just want to give your group a break from being on the water.
